Paradis Perdu (Paradise Lost) is a dreamlike odyssey, a poem for the stage, an uplifting spectacle at the crossroads of theatre, film, music and the performing arts.
Dive into the technicolour Garden of the World, from microcosm to macrocosm, from polar deserts to boiling volcanoes, fields of wildflowers and virgin forests swarming with living creatures. Enter into a heavenly dream that unfolds to reveal a wonderful garden, where humanity moves beyond catastrophe and is called upon to recreate the future. The last human on Earth is about to die. He hears an inner voice inviting him to recreate the world destroyed by the hand of Man. Inspired by that transporting voice, the soldier sends his imagination forth on a dream-quest for the creation of the world, in search of Paradis Perdu, and invents a wonderful garden in which humanity lives in harmony with nature. Paradis Perdu, a unique musical spectacle created by Dominic Champagne and biologist and filmmaker Jean Lemire, with music by Daniel Bélanger, will present three additional performances during the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival.
