Prizes: The Société des alcools du Québec offers ten (10) four-person
packages for a soirée
gastronomique at the Maison du Gouverneur.
Each package includes:
- A gastronomic experience for four (4) people at the Maison du Gouverneur
that will take place on May 7, 2010. (Date subject to change, at the discretion
of the SAQ.)
- The package includes a ten-course meal with tastings of rare prestige wines from
the SAQ's Signature Wine Cellar.
- An exclusive tour of the SAQ's Signature Wine Cellar and other cellars at the Maison
du Gouverneur, in the company of Jessica Harnois, sommelier – manager, Courrier
vinicole at the SAQ (approximate value of $1,020 per four-person package,
before taxes).
To be declared prizewinners, the persons selected:
- Must be successfully contacted by the Contest Organizers within fifteen (15)
business days of the Draw;
- Shall each be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a timelimited
mathematical skill-testing question that will appear on the Declaration and Release
Form;
- Shall each be required to sign a Declaration and Release Form that they will receive
by mail or fax and to return it to the Contest Organizers within fifteen (15) business
days of receipt;
- Shall each receive their prize by mail within fifteen (15) business days
of receipt, by the Contest Organizers, of their signed Declaration and Release Form,
or by no later than April 15, 2010;
- Must be available on the day of the Maison du Gouverneur event.
Failure to comply with any of the aforementioned conditions shall result in the
disqualification of the selected person, and a new draw for the prize will be held
until a qualified winner has been declared.
The selected persons shall release the Société des alcools du Québec, L’Équipe Spectra,
the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival, their employees, their affiliated companies and
their respective representatives, from any liability the selected persons may incur
as a result of their acceptance or use of their prize, and shall acknowledge that
the only warranty applicable to the prize is the normal manufacturer’s warranty.
In order to be declared winners and prior to obtaining their prizes, the selected
persons shall undertake to sign a Declaration and Release Form to this effect.
- By participating in this Draw, the winners consent to allow the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS
Festival and the Société des alcools du Québec to use, if required, their name,
photograph, likeness, voice and/or statements regarding their prize, for publicity
purposes and with no remuneration whatsoever.
- The online entries are subject to verification by the Contest Organizers. Any online
entries that are not compliant with the conditions set forth herein will be automatically
rejected and will give no entitlement to a prize. Any person participating, or trying
to participate in, this contest by a means contravening these Contest Rules and
in a way that is prejudicial to the other participants (e.g. computer piracy, fraudulent
use of one or more access codes, or the acquisition of such access codes by fraudulent
means, or number of entries exceeding the allowable limit) will be automatically
disqualified and may be reported to the competent legal authorities. The decisions
made by the Organizers, mainly with respect to the eligibility or disqualification
of an online entry, are final and without appeal.
- The "SAQ Contest" is open exclusively to persons who reside in
Canada and who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of
residence. No purchase is required. The "SAQ Contest" is not open
to employees of the Société des alcools du Québec, L’Équipe Spectra, the MONTREAL
HIGH LIGHTS Festival, their franchises, affiliated companies, and respective promotional
and advertising agencies; to any persons having taken part in the design, production
or distribution of the contest material; or to the employees of the contest’s partner
companies or anyone living in the same household.
- The Contest Organizers accept no responsibility for any malfunction of any computer
equipment, software or line of communication; for any loss or absence of a communication
network; or for any transmission that is rendered defective, incomplete, or incomprehensible
or that is deleted by any computer or network, and that may limit the possibility
of, or prevent, a person from participating in the contest. Furthermore, the Contest
Organizers accept no responsibility for any damage or loss that may be caused, directly
or indirectly, in whole or in part, by the downloading of any software or the transmission
of any information relating to participation in the contest.
- The Contest Organizers reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate,
modify or suspend the contest, in whole or in part, if any event or human intervention
occurs that could corrupt or affect the administration, security, impartiality or
conduct of the contest as provided for in these rules, and subject to the approval,
if required, of the Régie des alcools des courses et des jeux du Québec.
- In the event that the computer system cannot record all contest entries during the
Contest Period for whatever reason, or if participation in the contest must be terminated,
in whole or in part, before the ending date of the contest as provided in these
rules, a random draw may be held at the discretion of the Contest Organizers from
among the entries duly recorded during the Contest Period, or as the case may be,
until the date of the event terminating participation in the contest.
- Under no circumstances may the Contest Organizers be required to award more prizes
than provided for in these rules or to award prizes otherwise than in accordance
with these rules.
- The Contest Organizers do not guarantee in any way that the contest website shall
be accessible or functional without interruption during the Contest Period or that
it shall be free of errors.
- Any person selected to win a prize shall acknowledge that once he or she has received
the letter confirming his or her prize from the Contest Organizers, the performance
of the obligations related to the prizes becomes the sole and exclusive responsibility
of the suppliers of the prizes. Prior to being declared a winner and to taking possession
of his or her prize, the winner undertakes to sign a statement to that effect on
the Declaration and Release Form.
- The Contest Rules shall be posted on the website of the MONTREAL HIGH LIGHTS Festival
at www.montrealenlumieres.com from November 24, 2009 to February 28, 2010.
- For Quebec residents, any litigation concerning the organization or conduct of a
promotional contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des
jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted
to the Régie solely for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
